Significant Form

Can we find significant form in every work of visual art?
Bell's theory of significant form can be really appealing to anybody because if you think about there has to be some form in art. Art cannot be something without form it has to have something there otherwise it would be a naked picture or image. I did not believe in Bell's aesthetic emotion, but significant form has much more reality to it than any emotion. everything about significant form can be explain in simple answers because forms give purpose to emotions. Also it gives purpose to the art as whole and point people to the right emotions.

Aesthetic Emotion?

Do all works of visual art have aesthetic emotion?
According to Bell it has to be there in order for us to experience real visual art. I do not agreed with some of Bell's ideas, but in visual art there has to be something which makes us go crazy for art. I think it has to be aesthetic emotion an specific it can be anything or something we have not thought yet. Most likely aesthetic emotion refer to everything that has to do with an specific visual art. For the most part emotion can be hard to explain specially when it comes to art because art is some rich in emotions that anybody can be overwhelmed. Last but not least I think there is aesthetic emotion in all work of visual art because there are not meant to have anything it's just a piece of art nothing more than that.

Can anything in life be experience as art?

In my view anything can be experience as art most likely because art is everywhere there is no place in this world where art does not have a presents. Everywhere you look there is art it does not matter the place. These are some pictures I took when I went to Europe proof art is everywhere.

Response To TA's Question 6

To me art does not have to to be human-made to be considered art. The way I see art to me anything can be a piece of art in my opinion I think the most beautiful pieces of art are not human-made. There are some many things in nature that can be art. Art is something to me that does not have a definition or anything like that. It's more like something that can flourish anywhere in the world. Do not get me wrong human-made art is extremely beautiful, but it's hard to decide which art can be in a museum. I know "we make sculptures out of marble, but we don't make the marble" most important that piece of marble was already art, but we change only the form of the marble piece, so it can look more attractive to the observes, views, etc...

Response To TA's Question 5

I do not think he explains fully, but some of his points are valid I give him credit for that. In a sense I think the aesthetic world is a "world with emotions of its own" sometimes it can be hard to distinguish emotions from real life and emotions coming for the aesthetic world. when he said "the emotions of life find no place" I think he going out line because I think the emotions of life has to have a place otherwise we would not have any emotions in the first place.

I know there are many people who disagrees with Bell, but the way I see it he was a philosopher expressing his ideas to the world. It can be hard to judge a philosopher because they are just ideas written in papers, so other people trying to make sense of it or find answers to some of his questions and beliefs.

Response To TA's Question 4

I think capitalism has to do with everything now at days, but I feel it has nothing to do with art because artists work on whatever they want not what the government tells them to do. I feel it depends on who is making the piece of art because I don't see artists doing things they don't want to do. But sometimes there are those who can be manipulated by capitalist government, so they can make visuals arts let say as propaganda in order to get to some people.

I don't think there is a solution to this dilemma because that's how the world works and in my point of view I don't see anybody changing that anytime soon.
